About Us

The Salty Mare Equine Saltwater Spa was founded out of a lifelong love of horses and a deep commitment to their care, soundness, and long-term well-being. What began as a college final project has grown into a professional, equine-owned business helping fund veterinary school while providing hands-on care and wellness education to performance horses.

The founders bring complementary expertise. One is a competitive driver and member of the United States Equestrian Federation Developing Drivers Program. In 2024, she was named USEF U25 Intermediate Driver of the Year, and her pony, SF Spice Girl, was honored as the 2024 Intermediate Single Pony Reserve Champion Horse of the Year. She brings years of horsemanship and hands-on experience to every horse we serve.

Her partner brings extensive business experience, ensuring The Salty Mare operates professionally, efficiently, and sustainably.

Together, they combine horsemanship, science, and strategy to deliver spa-quality recovery treatments that truly benefit every horse.

Giving back to the equestrian community is central to our mission. The Salty Mare supports young riders and grassroots equestrians by providing access to recovery tools and wellness education typically reserved for top-level athletes.

We follow the competition season from Florida to New England, bringing our mobile spa directly to barns and shows. Whether your horse is a high-level competitor or a cherished partner, we are here to support their health, comfort, and longevity every step of the way.
